When agencies think about how to switch estate agency software, one fear comes first: listings that get lost along the way. A good switch therefore starts with a safe import, not with a new website. This is how it works in BRES.
New estate agency software starts with a trial import
Every import starts as a trial run: for each listing you see what is new, what changes and what stays the same. Only when it is right do you continue. BRES imports BRES JSON, CSV and the Kyero format.
You see what will happen before it happens, instead of searching afterwards for what went wrong. The page about switching shows each step.
What cannot go wrong
An empty or broken export never deletes a single listing in BRES. Records that do not add up are set aside until someone reviews them. Running the same import again does not create duplicate listings.
That sounds obvious, but this is exactly where switches tend to fail. An export that stops halfway must never mean that half of your listings disappear from your website.
Your own corrections stay in place
For each field you decide which source leads, so your own corrections stay in place. If you improved a title or replaced a photo, the next import does not overwrite it without you seeing it.
This lets you run the old and the new source side by side for a while. You choose the moment you switch the old software off.
Languages go live after review
A multilingual website only works when the texts are right. BRES only publishes a language once the texts have been reviewed: by the agency, its team or a translator. Until then the language stays in preview.
